The Cell to be Produced by Playwrights' Platform Annual Summer Festival, Boston Playwrights' Theatre

The Cell, Kelly's 10-minute contemporary drama for two teens, will be produced by the Playwrights' Platform 36th Annual Summer Festival, Boston Playwright's Theatre, 949 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, at 8:00 p.m., June 19, 20 and 21.

Kelly's Plays Featured in Life Stages Festival April 5, 2008, 7:00 p.m.

Lifestageschildrenv2 Kelly's short plays for kids, teens and adults featured in the upcoming Life Stages Festival at the Sherborn Community Center on April 5 include:  Rocky and Skye (new), The Cell (previously produced), Run For Your Life (previously performed), Eating Oreo's Cookie (new), and Clay (previously performed).  This event is free and open to the public, funded by a grant from The Sherborn Cultural Council, and sponsored by the Sherborn Council on Aging.

Our Voices Together Festival set for May 17, 2008 at Wellesley College

For the 2nd year in a row, Playwrights' Platform of Boston and the International Centre for Women Playwrights will sponsor an evening of readings held at the Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre, Wellesley College.  Our Voices Together - a selection of short play readings by women members of Playwrights' Platform, is made possible by a generous donation of space from  the Wellesley Summer Theatre, a grant from ICWP and support from Playwrights' Platform.  Plays are currently being selected.  Last year, Kelly produced this festival; this year she is supporting

Regina Eliot-Ramsay to produce the festival which will be held at 7:00 p.m. May 17, 2008.  The Festival will be free and open to the public.

Life Stages Festival of Readings Set for April 5, 2008

Life Stages ~ A Community Conversation Through the Dramatic Arts, will be held April 5, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at the Sherborn Community Center featuring plays by Kelly DuMar & Chris King.

The festival, sponsored by the Sherborn Council on Aging, will feature readings of Sherborn Playwrights Kelly DuMar and Chris King's plays performed by local seniors and and actors of all ages followed by a "community conversation" with the playwrights, actors and audience.  The Sherborn Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass. Cultural Council, has awarded a grant to support this play festival.  The Festival is free and open to the public, and the space is wheelchair accessible.  For more information, e-mail the Sherborn Council on Aging.

Mass. Cultural Council Grant to Support Play Festival

The Sherborn Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass. Cultural Council, has awarded playwrights Kelly DuMar and Chris King a grant for a play festival to be held in April 2008: Life Stages ~ A Community Conversation Through the Dramatic Arts.  The festival, produced in conjunction with the Sherborn Council on Aging, will feature readings of DuMar and King's plays performed by local seniors and and actors of all ages followed by a "community conversation" with the playwrights, actors and audience.  For more information, e-mail the Sherborn Council on Aging.
